Fine-tolerance Laser Cutting for Compton
Serving Compton with polished, swift laser cutting and engraving. American Laser Cutter runs a fleet of four industrial CO₂ lasers — our largest bed measures 4 feet by 5 feet at our Downtown LA location, approximately 15–25 minutes from Compton. Compton has a storied history in aerospace manufacturing and today fosters a new generation of makers and artists.
The manufacturing, aerospace heritage industries that define Compton generate steady demand for custom-shaped parts, signage, prototypes, and engraved products. Whether you're an individual with a one-off project or a company running production batches, we accommodate orders of any size with no minimums.
What We Cut and Engrave
Cast and extruded acrylic, ¹⁄₁₆" through ¾", in any color or finish. The CO₂ laser gives cast acrylic that signature flame-polished look.
We cut Baltic birch, MDF, maple, walnut, cherry, and more. Wood engraving produces natural color contrast that paint can't replicate.
Paper and board stock cut without crushing, creasing, or tearing — even designs with hairline-thin bridges.
Vegetable-tanned and chrome-tanned leather — cutting and engraving for fashion, accessories, and branding projects.
Precision fabric cutting for fashion, upholstery, and technical applications. Synthetics get heat-sealed edges.
EVA foam, craft foam, and rigid foam board — clean edges with no crushing or deformation.
Many Compton clients bring their own material; others use our stock. We strictly avoid PVC, vinyl, and chlorine-based plastics due to toxic fume risk.

We work from vector formats: AI, DXF, SVG, and PDF are all accepted. Clean vector paths with no overlapping lines produce the best results. Raster images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF) are suitable for engraving operations.
